Privacy Policy

What we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Effective October 1, 2026. This policy explains what stoneberryapp.com collects when you visit, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

stoneberryapp.com (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an independent consumer guide to Stoneberry and Stoneberry Credit. We are not Stoneberry and we are not a lender. Our editorial contact is [email protected] and privacy requests go to [email protected].

2. What we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we keep your message, email address and any attachments to respond. If you submit information through the loan comparison form on this site, that data is sent directly to a third-party partner (see Section 4) under its own privacy policy, not to us.

Information collected automatically

  • Browser and device data: user agent, operating system, screen size and language
  • Network data: IP address and approximate location (city or region)
  • Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring URL and search terms used to reach us
  • Diagnostic data: errors and performance metrics

None of the data above identifies you by name.

Calculator inputs

The Stoneberry payment calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are never sent to our servers.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use first-party and third-party cookies for analytics and essential functions. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may still work without them.

4. Third-party services

When features from the services below load, those providers can collect data under their own policies:

  • Google Analytics — usage measurement
  • Statcounter — usage measurement
  • APIdiamond — the loan comparison form; data you enter in that form is governed by the partner’s policy
  • Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from fonts.gstatic.com; the request includes your IP

5. How we use information

  • Operate and secure the site, including fraud and abuse detection
  • Understand which pages help readers and improve content
  • Reply to messages you send
  • Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell personal information we collect.

6. Legal basis and retention

We rely on legitimate interests to operate and improve this site, and on consent where required for cookies in your region. We keep analytics data in aggregated form for up to 26 months. Emails you send are kept for up to 24 months unless the conversation is active.

7. Your rights

California residents (CCPA and CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, email [email protected].

Other U.S. states

Residents of states with similar laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others) have rights to access, correct, delete and port their personal information. The same email handles those requests.

Appeals

If we deny a rights request, you may appeal to the same address and include “Appeal” in the subject line.

8. Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

9. International users

Our site is operated from the United States and intended for a U.S. audience. If you access it from another country, you consent to information being processed in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your country.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information in our control, including HTTPS and access controls. No internet service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top and, for significant changes, add a notice on the site for at least 30 days.
